Pet health is incredibly important and it’s also important that you know all the facts about a dog before you buy one. Unfortunately I found that out the hard way. About a year ago I bought the dog of my dreams, a Husky. I brought him home and everything was going great I thought, until I started to notice something was not quite right with him. Ace as I named him, was sick all the time We brought him to the vet and right away he knew there was something wrong .After running a bunch of tests on him the vet informed us that Ace indeed was very sick, in fact not only did he have ear infections in both ears but he also had Giardia. Giardia is an intestinal parasite that can be caused by unsanitary conditions and it can make your dog very sick. Ace is doing great now and is a regular healthy, hyper husky but I can’t stress how dumb I felt, buying a dog from a reputable breeder, believing that it was perfectly healthy and fine when really it was just the opposite.
It is very important to make sure you really do your research before you buy a dog. If you chose not to research you could end up in a situation like the one I found myself in. Don’t be afraid to look around and ask questions, it’s absolutely necessary. If you or someone you know is thinking about getting a dog please, please, please research and research some more. I bought into the breeder’s lies about Ace being perfectly healthy and fine and it didn’t even dawn on me to ask questions and it almost cost Ace his life. It’s so important that you know the facts before you jump into a big investment like this, after all it could change your life.
